Compare Websites Side by Side (Before & After)

Just enter two URLs. See the site before and after a redesign, side by side, as real pages.

Kitbench's server fetches the public pages to show them. Only the two URLs and settings are kept, for the short link. * "Box differences" only checks text and images. Changes to only color, spacing, text size or font are not boxed.

How to use

  1. 1. Enter two URLsPut the page to compare on the left (Before) and right (After), then press Compare. You can rename Before and After.
  2. 2. Switch phone and desktop"Phone" and "Desktop" show each page at that width. Scrolling one moves the other at the same speed. Turn off "Sync scroll" to scroll each side on its own.
  3. 3. Overlay and share"Overlay" stacks the two pages so you can drag the red line to compare. The page address becomes a short link right away, so you can send it as is.

FAQ

Who is this for?

Anyone comparing a website before and after a redesign, web designers and freelancers showing a client the mockup next to the current site, and anyone comparing a competitor's site with their own.

Can it show any page?

Most public pages, yes. Pages that need a login or password, and pages on private networks, cannot be shown. Pages that load content later or have a lot of animation may look partly broken.

Can I click links inside the pages?

Clicking does not move to another page, so the comparison stays in place. To compare another page, enter its URL.

How does synced scrolling work?

With "Sync scroll" on, scrolling one side moves the other at the same speed (to the same height). Turn it off to scroll the left and right separately.

What is in the share link?

Only the two URLs, the names and the view settings. To make the link short, this pair is kept on Kitbench's server (the page contents are not). Whoever opens it gets the pages fetched again at that moment. A link is deleted if it is not opened for a year.

Is it OK to load someone else's page?

It only loads a public page once so you can look at it. Nothing is saved or changed. The pages belong to their sites, so take care when sharing screenshots of them.
