Text cases

UPPERCASE, lowercase, Sentence case, Title Case, Capitalized Case (every word), iNVERSE (swap upper and lower) and aLtErNaTiNg (every other letter).

Title Case keeps these short words lowercase unless they are the first or last word: a, an, the, and, but, or, for, nor, so, yet, as, at, by, in, of, off, on, per, to, up, via.

Programming cases

camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case, CONSTANT_CASE and dot.case. Words are split on spaces and symbols, and also where a lowercase letter meets an uppercase one, so userID parseHTMLString becomes user_id_parse_html_string.

FAQ

Who is this case converter for?

It suits anyone who typed a paragraph with Caps Lock on, students and writers fixing headings and titles, bloggers and YouTubers tidying up titles, people cleaning text pasted from a PDF or email, and developers turning labels into camelCase or snake_case names.

When is it useful?

For example, turning an all-caps email into normal sentences, putting a list of blog titles into Title Case, making a heading all uppercase for a design, or converting a column of field names into snake_case, one per line.

What are the benefits?

One click converts the whole text, so you don't retype anything. Undo takes you back, so you can try different cases freely. URLs, email addresses and acronyms like NASA can be kept as they are. Copy the result or save it as a .txt file.

Is my text sent anywhere?

No. The conversion happens in your browser. When you open a file, it is read inside this page too.

What is the difference between Sentence case and Title Case?

Sentence case makes everything lowercase and capitalizes only the first letter of each sentence. Title Case capitalizes each word, but keeps short words such as a, the and of in lowercase unless they come first or last.

Does Sentence case keep “I” and handle Mr. or e.g.?

Yes. “I” and forms like I’m, I’ll, I’ve and I’d stay capitalized. A period after Mr., Mrs., Ms., Dr., Prof., St., vs., etc., e.g., i.e., Jr. or Sr., or inside a number like 3.5, does not start a new sentence. If a sentence starts with a quote mark, the first letter after it is capitalized.
