FAQ
Who is this tool for?
It suits office, accounting and sales staff who send an invoice with its statement or a quote with its documents, applicants told to “submit everything as one PDF”, anyone who scanned pages one by one and wants a single file, students combining handouts or assignments, and anyone handling confidential documents (nothing is uploaded).
When is it most useful?
For example, when you don’t want the recipient to open several attachments one by one, when an upload form accepts only one file, when you want scanned pages in the right order as one document, or when you file monthly paperwork together.
What do I gain from using it?
One file instead of many, for you and for the recipient. You set the order on screen before merging, so pages end up where they belong. There’s nothing to install and no account to create; it runs in your browser.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Merging happens in your browser, so contracts and confidential documents never leave your device. If you use Premium, the page checks once a day that your subscription is active; only your Premium key is sent for that, never your PDFs.
How do I change the order?
Your PDFs are listed with numbers from top to bottom. Use Up and Down to move them and Remove to take one out. They are joined in that order, top to bottom.
How many files can I merge?
There is no fixed limit; you need at least 2. Very large files may take longer on slower devices.
Can I merge only some pages?
Yes, with Premium. Type pages like “1-3, 5” in a file’s box to include only those pages. Writing “3, 1, 2” adds them in that order. Leave the box empty to include every page of that file.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
No. Protected PDFs can’t be opened here, so they are removed from the list with a notice. PDFs with editing or printing restrictions (encryption) may not open either, even if they don’t ask for a password.
Can pages have different sizes or orientations?
Yes. Each page keeps its original size and orientation. A4 and A3, portrait and landscape can be mixed; they are joined as they are.
Can I merge images or Word files?
Only PDFs can be merged. Other files are not added to the list. Save images or Word documents as PDF first, then add them.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Choose PDFs from your phone’s files, set the order with the Up and Down buttons, and merge.
Are bookmarks, links and form fields kept?
The page content (text, images and drawings) is kept as it is. Bookmarks (the outline) may not be carried over, and form fields may stop working after merging.
What is the merged file called? Are my original PDFs changed?
It is saved as “merged.pdf”. Your original PDFs are not changed.
