White Noise Generator (Pink & Brown Noise)
Three kinds of noise, one tap away. Plays in silent mode and is built to keep going with the screen off.
Use your phone's volume buttons to set the volume
Start at a low volume. The longer you play it, the lower it should be.
Save as WAV
Saves the current noise as an audio file. The end joins the start, so it works as a loop.

FAQ
Who is this for?
People who want to cover voices and noises around them while working or studying, people bothered by outside noise at night, and anyone who needs a noise audio file for a video or project.
What is the difference between white, pink and brown noise?
White noise has equal strength at all frequencies, a hiss. Pink noise gets weaker toward high frequencies and sounds like rain. Brown noise is even deeper, a low rumble. Which one feels best differs from person to person, so compare them.
Does it help with sleep or focus?
Steady sound is used to make surrounding noises less noticeable, but how it works differs from person to person and this page promises no effect. If you keep having trouble sleeping, talk to a doctor.
Can I use this white noise generator for sleeping?
Yes. Pick a time on the timer and the sound fades out and stops, and “Black screen” darkens the display. It plays in iPhone silent mode and is built to keep playing with the screen off. Keep the volume low; the page promises no effect on sleep.
Does it keep playing with the screen off?
This page plays the sound as a normal audio file, so it plays in iPhone silent mode and is built to keep playing with the screen off. Battery-saving settings or another app playing audio can still stop it.
How loud should it be?
Start low and keep it at a level where you could still talk normally next to it. The longer you play it, the lower it should be.
How does the timer work?
When the time is up it fades out over a few seconds and stops. On an iPhone the page cannot change the volume, so it simply stops at that time.
Can I hear the loop point?
The end and the start of the 20-second sound are blended, so there is no click at the loop point. Saved WAV files loop cleanly too.
Can I use the saved WAV?
It is noise calculated on this page, so you can use it freely in videos, for work or to check equipment.
