Blur & Pixelate Image
Add a photo or screenshot and draw over what you want to hide. Choose pixelate, blur or black out, and save at the original size. Your photos are never uploaded.
Just draw over what you want to hide. On iPhone you can save to Photos. Your photos are never uploaded.
For names and numbers, “Black out” is the safest. Weak pixelation or blur can sometimes let the original text be guessed.
Drag to draw. A tap places a shape the same size as the last one. Press a shape to select it, then move it, resize it with the dot at the bottom right, or delete it. Automatic face detection isn't available yet. A shape with a blue frame changes when you press a strength or effect. Tap an empty spot to remove the frame.
Add photos.
The original photo is still there. When you post, pick the new one you just saved.

Pixelate, blur or black out?
- Faces, people, houses or cars in the background: pixelate or blur (Strong)
- Names, phone numbers, addresses and numbers that must not be read: black out
- Text you only want to make less noticeable: blur
Tips for hiding well
- Draw a little bigger than what you want to hide
- Zoom in with “+” before covering small text
- Use the circle for faces – it looks more natural
- For many screenshots of the same screen, use “Same shapes on all photos”
FAQ
When is this useful?
When you want to hide other people's faces in a photo for social media, names in chat or sales screenshots, an address on a shipping label in a marketplace photo, number plates, or personal details in screenshots for a manual.
Do I need to install an app?
No. Just open this page on iPhone, Android or a computer.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Photos are read and edited on your device, in this page. You can hide faces and names without sending them to anyone's server.
Can pixelation or blur be undone?
The saved image is a new picture with the hidden parts painted over; the original picture data is not in the file. But pixelation and blur are made by mixing the original colours, so if they are weak, the shape of text can sometimes be guessed. When hiding text, set the strength to “Strong”. For names, phone numbers, addresses and other text that must not be read, choose “Black out”.
Does it find faces automatically?
Not yet. You draw over faces yourself. After the first one, a tap places a shape of the same size, so even a group photo only takes a few taps.
What about quality and size?
Images are saved at the original size. Photos stay JPEG and screenshots (PNG) stay PNG. Very large photos beyond what the device can handle are made smaller; if that happens, the page tells you.
Where do saved photos go on an iPhone?
Press “Save to Photos”, then choose “Save Image” on the next screen to put it in Photos. The original photo stays as it is, so pick the new one when you post.
Is the location kept?
No. The saved image is newly made, so it doesn't contain where it was taken, the device model or other hidden information. After saving, the page checks and shows this.
How many photos can I use?
Up to 20 at once. “Same shapes on all photos” hides the same place on every photo. More at once and saving everything as a ZIP are Premium features.
Can I use iPhone HEIC photos?
When you choose from the Photos app, they are usually passed on as JPEG, so they work. HEIC files chosen from the Files app may not open on some devices.
Is it free?
Yes, with no sign-up.
