FAQ
Who is this tool for?
It suits office staff removing blank backs from double-sided scans, sales and planning teams taking out internal or outdated pages before sending a document, anyone who wants only the pages they need without covers or ads, and people who don’t want to share pages with personal details (nothing is uploaded).
When is it most useful?
For example, when a scan picked up every blank back side, when you need to remove pages before sending a document to a client, when an application needs only some of the pages, or when you want to cut whole sections out of a long PDF.
What do I gain from using it?
You pick pages by looking at thumbnails, so there’s less checking of page numbers and fewer mistakes. Finding blank pages and selecting even or odd pages in one click makes long PDFs quick to clean up. Your original file stays as it is; the result is saved as a new PDF.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The PDF is opened, edited and saved inside this page in your browser.
How do I type page numbers?
Separate pages with commas and use a dash for a range: 2-4, 7 removes pages 2, 3, 4 and 7. “5-” means page 5 to the end. Spaces also work as separators.
Can I keep only some pages instead?
Yes. Press “Choose pages to keep”, then tap or type the pages you want to keep. Everything else is removed.
Can it find blank pages?
Yes. Press “Find blank pages”. Pages that are almost completely white (including pages with only a small page number) are selected, even when a scan has a slightly gray background. It only selects them, so check before saving.
When would I use Even pages or Odd pages?
For example, when single-sided papers were scanned double-sided and every other page is a blank back. “Even pages” selects pages 2, 4, 6… and “Odd pages” selects 1, 3, 5…. “Invert selection” swaps selected and unselected pages.
Can I select a run of pages at once?
On a computer, click one page, then hold Shift and click another to select every page in between. Typing a range like “10-30” in the box does the same. With a keyboard, move to a page and press Space or Enter to select it.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. On a narrow screen the thumbnails are shown three across and you tap to select. The save button stays at the bottom of the screen, so you can save without scrolling back.
Is there a page or size limit?
There is no set limit. Very large files depend on your device's memory, and thumbnails appear as you scroll.
Can I delete every page?
No. A PDF needs at least one page, so if every page is selected, the save button is disabled and you’ll see a notice.
What happens to my original PDF?
Nothing; it isn’t changed. A new PDF without the selected pages is saved as “original name_removed.pdf”, and the PDF’s title information is kept.
Are bookmarks and links kept?
The pages, text and images are kept. Bookmarks (the outline) and links between pages may not be carried over.
Can I open a password-protected PDF?
Not while it is locked. Remove the password in the app that created it, then open it here. PDFs with editing or printing restrictions (encryption) may not open either, even if they don’t ask for a password.
What if I only want to remove text or images inside a page?
This tool removes whole pages. To cover or add things inside a page, use Edit PDF; to split a PDF into several files, use Split PDF.
